USS Hopewell DD681 Association
SCOPE & Purpose
The Scope of the association shall be to promote friendship and comradeship between ALL those who served aboard United States Ship Hopewell DD-681. To promote pride and patriotism to all who served our great nation and this valient ship. The association is to establish an ongoing program that will make all reasonable efforts to locate personnel eligible for membership in the association that have not yet been contacted, and inform them of the association, its purpose, and schedule of activities.
The Purpose for the association is to promote and enhance the memory and preservation of the heritage of our ship, a guardian of freedom, and to promote camaraderie, respect, and fellowship among its crew members. To provide the means by which this camaraderie, respect and fellowship may be continued through the years, and to uphold the principles and purpose of good citizenship by dedicating our allegiance to the United States of America and fidelity to its Constitution and Laws. We will strive to provide the means by which these aims can be continued throughout the years on behalf of the USS Hopewell DD-681 Association.
